Who We Are:

Nightforce Optics at World Championships

We are currently the top ranked long range rifle team in the world (F-T/R).  Currently, we have twelve Traveling Team members, but will be taking a full 24 person Team to the World Championships in 2013.  F-T/R Class is defined as .308 scoped rifles fired off bipods at ranges up to 1200 yards.

What we’ve accomplished::

World Championship Gold

The Prize

We have won every major International Team Match that we have competed in.  These matches include:

  • Gold Medal, 2008 USA vs. Europe Team Match in Lodi, Wisconsin.
  • Gold Medal, 2009 F-Class (F-T/R) World Championships Team Match in Bisley, England.
  • Gold Medal, 2010 F-Class Americas Team Match in Ottawa, Canada
  • 2011 Creedmoor Cup, Tullamore, Ireland – Coming Soon!

What We Have To Offer:

Team USA Shooter: John Weil

For the first time, competitors shooting “standard” rifles had center stage at the World Championships. F-T/R class is much more “recognizable” to most everyday shooters, be they hunters or tactical shooters

Captain, Vice-Captain, and Adjutant on the firing line at the World Championships

(i.e. law enforcement). Whereas the F-Open class has been around a few more years, their “near benchrest” style of shooting is not as familiar to the average shooter. This means that F-T/R sponsors will be reaching a much larger audience than they are typically able to.

Our visibility, especially after our win in England last year has never been higher.  We are quite diligent in giving our sponsors every bit of exposure that we can.  This exposure ranges from honorable mention on our website’s sponsor page (www.usftrclass.com), to

Team USA posing with a sponsor's banner at the World Championships

tasteful logos on our team uniforms, to exclusivity agreements as we use your equipment in competition.  “The entire US Team was using our XYZ product at their World Championships win” has begun to appear in more than one product catalog.   In addition to exposure, our Team is made up of down to earth shooters that really use our sponsor’s products.  We don’t hesitate to advocate for products that we can believe in, and provide details on how to use the equipment at the many matches we attend.  We almost always take a lot of pictures at the big international matches.  We try to take pictures of both our shooters in action as well as showcasing the gear we use.  A compilation of these pictures can be made available to our sponsors for their own promotional materials.

What We Need:

Darrell Buell wins the 2007 Fullbore National Championships

Our schedule doesn’t slow down from here.  In addition to the 2013 World Championships, we will be competing in the USA vs. Europe Matches and Creedmore Cup Matches in Ireland in 2011, as well as the USA vs. Scotland matches in July 2011.  There will likely be a Team Match in South Africa in late 2012, or early 2013.  We were very grateful to get both some outstanding product as well as some excellent cash sponsorship for the last World Championships cycle.  While the equipment we use can literally be the difference between winning and loosing, the expenses for the top level of competition are definitely not inconsiderable.  Match fees alone for the World Championships Matches were close to $2000 per shooter, travel too is definitely not getting any cheaper.  We are therefore in real need of both cash and product sponsorships (or product sponsorships that can be converted to cash).  Until sponsorship funds start coming in, the Team will be entirely “shooter funded”.  We do not want to be in a situation where we have to recruit solely based on financial means instead of shooting ability.  Our goal is to have the most competitive team that the USA can field!
